A striking variety with tasty, dark red and sweet fruits rich in pectin. The fruits ripen over a long period starting in mid-August. They weigh 7–8 g and do not drop prematurely. This top variety is not prone to cracking, and the fruits have a long shelf life. For cross-pollination, plant another variety of cornelian cherry (Cornus mas) or a Japanese cornelian cherry (Cornus officinalis) nearby.
