Green Manure Mixtures

  • Product number: 395710.1
  • Origin: Not applicable / Not known

Mixture of fast-growing, nitrogen-fixing, or otherwise useful green manures, can still be sown late. Balanced composition of at least 5 species. After 6-8 weeks, dig in or let it die off.

To prevent your valuable soil from becoming depleted, it is wise to leave it fallow occasionally. During such a period, green manure is ideal: it adds nutrients to the soil through often present nitrogen fixation; it suppresses weed growth, promotes bacterial life, provides humus, and in some cases, works against harmful nematodes.
