Spiral garlic 'Sameroc'

Garlic can be planted all year round, provided the cloves are in good condition. Most varieties are available in autumn and winter. We supply varieties that are successfully grown in the Netherlands. Immediately after receipt, break open the bulb and plant the cloves in the ground: 2-5 cm deep and 10-20 cm apart. If planted in autumn, the garlic will emerge in February (or earlier) and can be harvested in June-July. Planted later naturally means a later harvest. Harvesting is not mandatory; garlic is hardy and can also simply remain in the ground. After harvesting, braid the foliage as you sometimes see garlic in stores and dry the bulbs in the sun. In a cool, dry place, they can sometimes be stored for up to a year! Cultivation is not difficult, but you can find good tips in our cultivation description in PDF (see bottom of the website). Garlic is said to deter aphids in, for example, roses, worth a try!
