IN RECENT YEARS, IT HAS PROVEN IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP THIS FINE BREED DISEASE-FREE. WE ARE REFERRING TO THE "SPANISH ROSE DE LAUTREC": MORADO DE PEDRONERA (306274)
This very popular variety from the Lautrec region (Fr) has an elegant pink-flamed skin and cloves. Its beautiful, highly aromatic flavour and long shelf life (up to 12 months) make this variety a collector's item! Harvestable from late June.
How delicious can also be beautiful... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in flavour than the so-called softneck varieties.
