The "Weiße Lößnitzer" variety is a scarlet strawberry. The fruits are small and ripen from white to orange to red. The variety is related to the vineyard strawberries, which were imported from Burgundy (France) in the 18th century under the name "Fraisier des vignes". The refined form was cultivated in Lößnitz before the First World War as an intercrop for the vineyards, as it prefers gravel and low-lime soil. After the war, the variety almost completely died out. But behold: we have them!
Our strawberry collection consists partly of rare old varieties, which are only available in small quantities. Therefore, the waiting time can be long. Annually in July, our grower pots a new crop, which is delivered in August-September. In April-May, we can replenish part of this assortment. Please note that postage costs may apply for any subsequent deliveries?
