(1964) The large, bowl-shaped, single-flowered peonies bloom early in an ivory-white colour (with a slight pink tint) and have a beautiful crown of golden-yellow stamens. This early-blooming peony flowers early at a height of 80 cm.
After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has put together a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.
They grow in all soil types:
In clay, growth is trouble-free; do not over-fertilise and ensure good drainage.
In sandy soil, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilising keeps the plant in good condition.
In peat soil, growth is generally good, but the plants will need to be transplanted or replaced slightly earlier.
Place peonies in a sunny spot, plant them (immediately upon arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the crown, and firm the soil first.
We supply bare root tubers; each plant has grown for 4–5 years, so the chance of early flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they get older. Colours may vary slightly from year to year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have died back naturally, the tubers are only AVAILABLE FROM OCTOBER AT THE EARLIEST.
