(1966) This “giant” produces light pink, double flowers measuring up to 20 cm in diameter! It is the last to bloom in its colour (July). Height 100 cm, upright and sturdy with glossy green foliage. Dutch variety!
After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has put together a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.
They grow in all types of soil:
In clay, growth is trouble-free; do not over-fertilise and ensure good drainage.
In sandy soil, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilising keeps the plant in good condition.
In peat soil, growth is generally good, but the plants will need to be replanted or replaced slightly earlier.
Place peonies in a sunny spot, plant them (immediately upon arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the buds, and firm the soil first.
We supply bare roots; each plant has been growing for 4–5 years, so the chance of early flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they get older. Colours may vary slightly from year to year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait for the plants to die off naturally, the bare roots will be AVAILABLE FROM OCTOBER AT THE EARLIEST.
