Paeonia lactiflora 'Angel Cheeks'

  • Product number: 736642.1
  • Origin: China, Northeast Asia
  • Latin: Paeonia lactiflora

(1975) The soft pink centre is surrounded by a cream-yellow bowl. Double-flowered, filled in to the centre, with slightly larger outer petals: the bowl. The plant has an upright and fairly narrow growth habit, reaching 1m in height. Blooms in late May.

After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has put together a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.

They grow in all soil types:
In clay, growth is trouble-free; do not over-fertilise and ensure good drainage.
In sandy soil, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilising keeps the plant in good condition.
In peat soil, growth is generally good, but the plants will need to be transplanted or replaced slightly earlier.

Place peonies in a sunny spot and plant them (immediately upon arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the buds, pressing the soil down first.
We supply bare root tubers; each plant has been growing for 4-5 years, so the chance of quick flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they get older. Colours may vary slightly from year to year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have died back naturally, the tubers are available EARLIEST FROM OCTOBER.
