A rarer arum from China with a large brownish-purple spathe on a lighter base and a thick, pinkish-red spadix. The arrow-shaped leaves grow to approx. 50 cm high and appear late in spring. Flowering occurs simultaneously with the emergence of the leaves. Give the plant a semi-shaded spot. The tubers are quite winter-hardy, you can dig them up and store them frost-free over winter.
