Sweet Potatoes 'S17-001'
- Product number: 409609.1
- Origin: Tropical America
- Latin: Sweet potato
AVAILABLE FROM LATE MAY AS A PLANT, WHILE STOCKS LAST.
'Black Heart' produces heart-shaped, deep purple leaves with pink flowers.
By popular demand, we have added a number of ornamental sweet potatoes to our assortment.
They combine very well with annual flowers in pots or containers, but also look beautiful in the ornamental garden. Just like the production varieties, these ornamental varieties are edible: the leaves as spinach and the (relatively small) tubers as sweet potato. In a long summer, the plants show their true colours through their blooms: the funnel-shaped flowers, as we have long known them from the climbing plant Ipomoea!
