ORGANICALLY GROWN POTATOES.
A top choice for a trouble-free crop due to its high resistance to many diseases! Late blight (Phytophthora) has no hold on this strong potato. This mid-early variety has a fairly firm texture, but is floury enough for baking (not frying). Expect a large harvest and good storability.
MID-EARLY ORGANIC VARIETY FOR GOURMETS.
A mid-early variety means it can be harvested from August onwards. Harvesting a few weeks earlier is possible by planting earlier. Planting time is from mid-April, when the soil is warm enough. Pre-sprouting in light or in a large pot can be done earlier. Do not place them in too wet a spot, but well in the sun. Mid-early varieties can suffer from the feared late blight (Phytophthora infestans). Some preventative measures are: wide planting, fertilizing with potash, not spraying water over the plant, and possibly organic spraying with sulfur or silinal. The average planting distance is 70x40 cm; we recommend 80x40 cm to prevent diseases.
