This Spanish gem yields a large harvest at the end of July. Very popular in the land of tapas due to its excellent flavour, which is remarkably hot when eaten raw! The cloves are deep wine-red; this variety is known for its high allicin content (=healthy!)
How delicious can also be beautiful.... (or vice versa). This tasty member of the garlic family grows with 1 or more curls in the stem and is (therefore) particularly decorative. Spiral garlic is called hardneck garlic in English and is generally stronger in flavour than the so-called softneck varieties.
