This is a fairly large, white garlic. Both the bulb and the cloves (5-15 per bulb) are white. It was one of the first modern improvements of the old ‘Blanc de la Drôme’ variety and is now considered a benchmark (reference) for later selections. It grows very healthily with a good yield. Due to its mild, sweet flavour, this variety has a wide range of applications, both for baking and cooking, as well as raw use in salads.
