While searching for remaining seeds, this variety was found in a trough. A foster daughter had brought the beans from Richigen near Worb (canton Bern) years earlier.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe seeds are dark purple to almost black in color. It is a late variety that can grow up to 2.5 to 4 meters high. The fresh, very tasty, flat beans (mostly stringless!) have a short cooking time.
