The best known, easiest to grow Ornamental Ginger. Grows just as easily as Canna. The large, broad leaves appear first. At the end of the 2nd summer, the majestic plant blooms with 1.5-2m high stems. Dozens of golden-yellow flowers with red stamens perfume each stem... This tropical plant must be brought indoors as soon as night frosts are announced. Keep the plant moderately moist; in winter, it usually goes dormant and only the (ever-growing) tuber remains.
