A remarkably old strawberry variety from Belgium, originating from the Liège region. The 'Saint-Lambert' was developed in 1852 by the Liège-based breeder Lorio and is an interesting variety for enthusiasts of historical and rare strawberries.
The fruits are dark red to purplish red, often somewhat flattened and angular in shape. The flesh is also dark red. The juicy fruits are known for their distinct, sweet and aromatic taste with a slightly wine-like character. Moreover, this is an early-ripening variety, allowing you to enjoy the first strawberries early in the strawberry season.
