His most successful variety was 'Ettersburg 80' (1910), which was widely grown in California, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. Renamed 'Huxley', the variety was still popular in England until 1953. Our strawberry collection consists partly of rare old varieties, which are only available in limited quantities. Therefore, the waiting time can be long. Annually in July, a new crop is potted by our grower, which is delivered in August-September. In April-May, we can replenish part of this assortment.
