'Broadview' grows slightly slower than the common variety and ultimately remains somewhat smaller, making it suitable for relatively smaller gardens; a 4x4 m space is ideal. The variety is very productive, even from a young age, and self-pollinating. The fruits are slightly elongated, with few grooves, and ripen in the second half of October to early November. The taste is good and the shell opens easily: the fruits therefore fall from the tree without a husk.
UNFORTUNATELY, SHIPPING PRODUCTS LONGER THAN 175 CM HAS BECOME TOO EXPENSIVE. IF YOU STILL CHOOSE TO SHIP A LONGER PRODUCT, WE WILL PRUNE IT BACK. WE REQUEST THAT YOU CHOOSE THE PICK-UP OPTION IF YOU WISH TO RETAIN THE AVAILABLE LENGTH.
Who doesn't know the walnut... wide trees that create a delightful shaded spot. A useful fact: mosquitoes and flies dislike the area around this tree, so a bench under a walnut tree is a pleasure on a balmy summer evening...! We supply young trees, which gives the best chance of healthy growth. Plant them so that the root ball is just below the ground (not too deep) and ensure a moderately moist, well-drained location. Walnuts need to ripen further after harvesting.
