You wouldn't think it possible, but this is truly a (never to be repeated) cross between a Rowan and a Pear! The trees remain very healthy, blossom fantastically with white flowers and form delicious, fairly round fruits, yellow with a red blush and a strong, long stem. The red blush is sometimes larger, which is why this fruit was formerly also called "red pear". The taste is fresh, juicy and sweet-sour, comparable to the Nashi Pear. Unpruned, the tree can reach 10-18 m in height, so give it space! The plants are at least 1 year old at the time of purchase and grafted onto Pyrus communis. This plant then grows into a large, richly bearing tree.
