  • Latin: Lonicera caerulea

'Docz Velikana' is a large-fruited Russian selection of the honeyberry, introduced in 2009. This shrub reaches a height of approximately 180 cm and a width of 130 cm. The tips of the one-year-old twigs droop, contributing to the graceful appearance of the plant. The fruits are elongated and pear-shaped, weighing 1.8 to a maximum of 2.5 grams per berry. They have a sweet taste and are covered with a white waxy layer, giving them a bluish color. These characteristics make 'Docz Velikana' particularly suitable for direct consumption, such as in desserts, and for processing, for example by freezing.
