Summer raspberry, one of the earliest: late June-late July! The large fruits are deliciously soft and have a good taste and aroma. This variety does not like wet feet, but does like a regular supply of moisture. On sandy soil, plenty of compost and a mulch layer are desirable. Summer raspberries bear on 2-year-old wood; in autumn, leave the young canes and prune away old canes.
