Autumn Raspberry 'Himbo Top'

A vigorously growing autumn raspberry known for its large, flavorful fruits and high yield. This variety was developed in Switzerland and is one of the most popular autumn raspberries due to its combination of excellent taste, strong growth, and a long harvesting period. The plant is suitable for both vegetable gardens and ornamental gardens.

The fruits are large, broadly conical, and have a bright red color with a beautiful sheen. The flesh is firm, juicy, and aromatic. The taste is wonderfully sweet with a fresh undertone, making the raspberries excellent both fresh and processed. The mouthfeel is soft and melting, without being fibrous.

'Himbo Top' bears fruit on one-year-old shoots and yields a rich harvest from August to October inclusive. Because the fruits grow on new shoots, care is simple. Prune the plant completely back to just above the ground in winter; it will sprout vigorously again in spring and form new fruit-bearing stems.

For the best yield, plant 'Himbo Top' in a sunny to lightly shaded location in humus-rich, nutritious, and well-drained soil. Regular watering during dry periods ensures optimal fruit development. The plant is very winter hardy and suitable for open ground, raised beds, and spacious pots.
