Volle oogst (Bountiful Harvest) tells the story of creative market gardeners, unconventional farmers, cooperative entrepreneurs, and resourceful citizens who have successfully established new food chains. It reveals their motivation and their approach. As diverse as their stories are, the common denominator is a bountiful harvest. A meaningful harvest and a meaningful existence, where the human scale is once again the benchmark, and connection with nature and community is sought. Where the regular food industry and agriculture seem to have lost touch with ecological, social, and economic values, these are re-identified and brought back into the food chain here.

Volle oogst portrays new market gardens and new farms, CSAs, care farms, vegetable subscriptions, and food cooperatives. Additionally, a more theoretical framework is outlined, explaining how this search for what is right and valuable is inherent to our human nature. The book also addresses very practical matters such as land, income, labor, and organizational forms, which are critical success factors for an enterprise to succeed.
