Sticky Leaf Monstera is the ideal gadget for catching small black flies near your houseplants. The completely paper trap card has an irresistible green color that attracts wandering pest insects. Upon landing, they stick to the powerful glue. Perfect for a severe infestation or for early monitoring of fungus gnats.
How does it work?
These trap cards help you to detect fungus gnats at an early stage and effectively catch adult flies during an infestation.
The black flies are attracted by the green color and stick to the strong adhesive. This prevents the fungus gnats from reproducing and laying new eggs.
Use and shelf life
Sticky Leaf Monstera is best used with houseplants or covered balconies. Please note: the trap card is made entirely of paper, which makes it sensitive to rain. Try to avoid the soil around the trap card when watering.
Remove the protective layer from the Sticky Leaf from top to bottom. Remove the protective layer on both sides. Insert the card into the potting soil. Is the card full? Then just throw it in the paper recycling bin! It is entirely made of paper and therefore recyclable.
Tips for the best results
• Always combine the trap cards with nematodes. This way you combat both adult fungus gnats and the larvae.
• Pest gone? Continue to use trap cards to catch any stragglers and monitor the situation.
• Do not pour water over the trap cards, as they are made of paper and therefore sensitive to water.
• A single application does not guarantee that the fungus gnats have disappeared from the plants forever. Repeat treatments are therefore recommended.
• Replace the Sticky Leafs as soon as they are full of insects.
