THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
(1931) (breeder: Allison) This beautiful, luxuriously blooming, double peony transforms from soft pink, through light pink to almost bright white. Color-changing peonies are very popular; this old variety is still a top performer and blooms easily for 10 days. The heavy flowers can sometimes use support; due to its late bloom, this is the last peony of the season.
After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has compiled a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.
They grow on all soil types:
On clay, growth is problem-free; do not fertilize too much and ensure good drainage.
On sand, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilization keeps the plant healthy.
On peat soil, growth is generally good, but the plants will need to be transplanted or renewed a little earlier.
Place peonies in a sunny spot, plant them (immediately after arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the 'eyes,' pressing down the soil first.
We supply bare rootstocks; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of quick flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they get older. Colors can vary slightly each year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have died back naturally, the rootstocks are available FROM OCTOBER at the earliest.
