THESE BULBS WILL ARRIVE IN OCTOBER 2024.
(1986) This successful cross between a herbaceous peony and a tree peony blooms with large, semi-double, fresh-scented yellow flowers with red flares around the center, on very sturdy 90 cm stems.
After years of experience in the Netherlands, our grower has put together a TOP assortment of the most beautiful and successful peonies.
They grow in all soil types:
In clay soil, growth is problem-free; do not fertilize too much and ensure good drainage.
In sandy soil, the plants remain somewhat smaller; sufficient fertilization keeps the plant healthy.
In peat soil, growth is generally good, but the plants will need to be transplanted or renewed slightly sooner.
Place peonies in a sunny spot, plant them (immediately upon arrival) so shallowly that only a few cm of soil covers the 'eyes', pressing the soil down first.
We supply bare rootstocks; each plant has grown for 4-5 years, so the chance of quick flowering is high! Some varieties grow into their intended (double) form as they age. Colors may vary slightly each year and depend on the preceding winter cold. Because we have to wait until the plants have died back naturally, the rootstocks are available FROM OCTOBER at the earliest.
