The (increasingly rare) yellow variety.
The sturdy stems have graceful whorls of glossy green leaves for up to 2/3 of their length, topped with a cluster of large, bell-shaped flowers with a tuft (crown) of bracts. It is known for its repellent effect against moles. Tip: Because the bulb has a hollow at the top where rotting can occur in very damp soil, we recommend planting the bulbs on their side.
