From the beautifully speckled foliage, an abundance of bright white flowers bloom. Cultivated since 1895. 20-25 cm high.
One of the most graceful spring bloomers, difficult to grow but more than worth the effort. The name refers to the pointed tubers, which resemble dog's teeth. Plant them in a semi-shaded spot. The foliage of most species is beautifully variegated and forms a beautiful base.
