Lilac-rose with a silvery sheen and an (almost) black heart, single-flowered.
By far the best-known anemone, loved throughout history as a cut flower and introduced to our country from France around 1850. There are two well-known types: the De Caen type with large, beautifully coloured, single flowers, and the St. Brigid type with semi-double flowers and rather narrow petals. They prefer nutritious, humous soil and are sufficiently frost-hardy with some winter protection. Height 25 cm.
