AVAILABLE ALMOST YEAR-ROUND, SOME PERIODS NOT. The most unique clover we know. This Brazilian species is not only remarkably ornamental with its brownish-violet leaves, lighter spots, and sharply contrasting, light-pink flowers, but also incredibly delicious! I snack on the leaves wherever I see them: a delightful lime flavor, fresh and tangy, yet a little sweet. Wonderful with almost all dishes! Grow the bulbs in a pot indoors or in pots or the garden outdoors, preferably in a slightly shaded spot. The leaves "sleep" at night and in dark weather. Overwinter frost-free! Koppert Cress markets the leaf under the protected name Yka Leaves. A logical piece of advice: use the Lime Leaf only as a garnish and flavoring, not as a main meal: just like rhubarb, too much acid is bad for the bones!
