Each year, we purchase the largest possible tubers for growing these beautiful, large plants, which will create a stunning display of color in your garden during the summer, whether in pots, containers, or even a large pot on the windowsill. As these plants also thrive in shade, they provide color where flowers usually cannot! In autumn, the plant dies back, and you can overwinter the tubers in a frost-free (and fairly dry) environment.
