Yew

  • Product number: 652700

  • Latin: Taxus baccata

The flat needles are dark green on top and blue-green underneath. The small green flowers develop into deep pink berries upon pollination. Flexible wood, making it ideal for shaping into bonsai. The seeds are poisonous, so don't nibble them... Male and female plants grow from the seeds. This shrub makes a beautiful solitary plant for the garden and can grow into a tree that can live for hundreds of years. Due to its excellent pruning capabilities, the yew is also very popular as a hedge.
