A small tree from tropical Asia. The large leaves are the first thing that catches the eye: up to 30cm long, lance-shaped with an elegant vein structure. The 20cm large flowers are white with fleshy sepals. These eventually enclose the resulting yellow-green fruit. The acidic fruits lose much of their acidity after cooking and can be used in dishes. Strong as a houseplant!
