Veratrum maackii
- Product number: 605550
- Origin: Asia
- Latin: Veratrum maackii
This plant is quite rare and certainly very special! The star-shaped, black-purple flowers are spread over branched, white-hairy stems. The leathery leaves with vertical veins are typical for all Veratrum species, Gentiana lutea also has such a leaf shape... give the plant a constantly moist, but well-drained spot, sun is reasonably tolerated, some shade is nice. The height will fluctuate around 100 cm.
All Veratrum species are poisonous if consumed.
