A beauty from Bolivia... From a sturdy "pol" of lance-shaped, slightly spiny leaves grow strong, waxy, purplish-grey stems, which at a height of 90 cm produce up to 15 trumpet-shaped, lime-yellow flowers. Bees and butterflies love the bloom! This is the only Puya that flowers the year after sowing, making it easy to cultivate!
The plants can tolerate some frost, provided the soil drains well and is absolutely not wet. In severe frost, create a tent of acrylic cloth around them or a large pile of leaves.
