During flowering, this eye-catcher is visible from afar! From a clump-forming, grass-like leaf base, stately stems grow with brightly rose-red flower clusters. At the top of the stems, it is sticky to catch crawling insects that would otherwise feast on the valuable nectar without pollinating the flower. Butterflies and bumblebees, however, are happy to do the latter. The plant grows 30-90cm high and blooms from May to July. This attractive wild plant can be found as far north as Central Finland.
