Lunaria annua 'Mixed'
- Product number: 596180
- Origin: Europe
- Latin: Lunaria annua, or also L. biennis
Early in spring, this easy grower blooms with violet, pink, and white flowers, followed by the typical round, flat, (then still) green fruit pods. After drying and peeling, they resemble silver coins because the septum gleams like silver and mother-of-pearl. These 75 cm tall plants also grow very well in partial shade. Honesty is usually cultivated as a biennial, but can also have an annual cycle (with early sowing). The plant readily self-seeds and naturalizes.
