Imposing and exotic! Large, slender, deep-red tubular flowers bloom on sturdy, long stems (150-180cm!), simply breathtaking... The first time I saw them was in Wales: unforgettable! Cover in winter. Native Americans consider it a "secret plant" due to its many medicinal and hallucinogenic uses.
