When you see the flowers of this amusing plant, you'll understand its kinship with cyclamen. The inverted, bright pink flowers show off their brightly coloured yellow stamens. Give them moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil, preferably in a semi-shaded to shaded spot in the garden. The plants combine beautifully with low-growing fern species; their graceful foliage looks fresh. Protect the young leaves, as slugs are fond of eating them. The flowers appear early in May. The bloom lasts about 2-3 weeks, so enjoy it intensely, because it truly is a plant you must see in bloom!
