This mountain dweller is still largely unknown in Europe! Striking white bracts hold the wine-red flowers captive: a perfect combination. (Height 90-120 cm)
Dierama plants have a graceful inflorescence: the more or less long, thin (but tough) stems bear trumpet-shaped flowers, which concentrate mainly at the ends and hang downwards. The stems bend due to this weight, creating the illusion of a fishing rod under tension! Give the plants a sheltered spot and, most importantly, not too wet (on a small mound).
