Lathyrus odoratus 'Bijou'
- Product number: 533000
- Origin: Mediterranean region
- Latin: Lathyrus odoratus
Mixed-colour dwarf variety, grows into bushy plants laden with flowers. Great for pots or in the garden. This mixture was introduced in 1963 and is an improvement on the old 'Cupido' variety (1893). Height 30-60 cm.
The species mentioned here belongs to the modern Lathyrus odoratus varieties and has long since proven to possess all the characteristics that enthusiasts seek: healthy growth, abundant flowering (the more you pick, the more it flowers), long flower stems with many blooms (4-6). Where noted, the variety has an extra good scent; otherwise, it is at least sufficiently fragrant and guaranteed to be true to colour.
