An excellent choice for lovers of waxy potatoes. It is good that this variety can be harvested quite early and still yield a huge crop. The skin is light yellow in color, tubers are large and the eyes are quite shallow. Thanks to the early harvest, Phytophthora will have little chance to affect this variety.
WAXY VARIETY FOR GOURMETS.
We have grouped the waxy varieties together because they differ considerably in taste from the rest. They remain very firm after cooking, so they definitely do not fall apart, and have a waxy, firm texture. After cooling, the tubers are still a delicacy and are, for example, used for salads. Most waxy varieties can be harvested mid-early to late: taste simply takes time to develop…! Plant from mid-April, when the soil is warm enough. Pre-sprouting in light or in a large pot can be done earlier. Do not place them in too wet a spot, but in full sun. The average planting distance is 70x40 cm, we recommend 80x40 cm to prevent diseases.
