The Healthy Vineyard

Special mixture that can be sown as undergrowth in vineyards or between other small and large fruit. Known in Germany as "Wolff Mischung". The mixture contains many nutrient-providing plants, and also provides shelter for birds, attracts bees, and misleads pests (due to the presence of herbs). An ideal and beautiful mixture to promote organic cultivation.
Composition:
- 7.5% Egyptian Clover
- 25% Sainfoin
- 7.5% Crimson Clover
- 5% Persian Clover
- 2.5% Red Clover
- 10% Alfalfa Clover
- 25% Vetches
- 10% Bee Mixture
- 7.5% Herb Mixture

To avoid depleting your valuable soil, it is wise to occasionally leave the land fallow. During such a period, green manure is ideal: it introduces nutrients into the soil through often present nitrogen fixation; it suppresses weed growth, promotes bacterial life, provides humus, and in some cases, acts against harmful nematodes.
