Beautiful garnish and delicious flavour (e.g. with fish, meat and vegetables) are provided by the very fine leaves with an anise-like aroma. Graceful in the garden due to its fine leaves and yellow umbels (like dill). The seeds were once chewed to suppress hunger: an ideal weight-loss aid! They are also delicious with fish, for example salmon. In larger quantities, the seeds are used in pastries and pickling spices (gherkins).
