Consistently the center of wonder, this annual plant from NE-Paraguay. Chew on a leaf and you'll notice it: a pleasant natural sweetness, which you'll find almost nowhere else naturally! Nice for snacking, or in coffee, tea or dishes like red cabbage and rhubarb. The plant slowly adapts to the autumn cold, but bringing it indoors in time can extend its lifespan, although our short winter days are not ideal... The leaves can be dried and ground into a powder for a long-lasting, homegrown sweetener!
