Carrots 'St. Valery'

  • Product number: 328340
  • Origin: Europe
  • Latin: Daucus carota

This very old selection from well before 1885 is still a top performer in terms of production and taste! Also popular with competition growers, as it still breaks all length records! Loosen the soil well or grow them on raised beds. Lengths of 30-40 cm are almost standard... This rather rare variety is an improvement of the even older variety 'Long Orange' (which was probably the first orange carrot) and can be stored for a long time (preferably in sand).

Denominations:
Latin: Daucus carota
Dutch: Winterwortel
Also: Peen
