The Californian grower Mr. Porter introduced this beautiful and tasty watermelon in the early 1900s. The elongated fruits are light green with dark green stripes (with a blue sheen) and hide the very sweet, crimson flesh beneath. Expect fruits weighing between 5-10 kg, quite large. They are sunburn resistant and fairly resistant to fungi.
