A bizarrely shaped flower, because the bulbils sprout quickly. This selection from the wild Sand Leek produces “flowers” consisting of windingly fused stems. The stems stand firm at 100-120 cm high, making the flowers excellent for a vase. Flowering time: June-July. The bulbs and flowers are edible, compare the taste of the bulb to a mild garlic!
