Sowing method: April-July. For onions, it is important that the soil is finely tilled, not too compact, and sufficiently moist. Spring onions are best sown directly in the garden, although pre-sowing in soil blocks is also possible. Make a 2 cm deep furrow, spread a layer of potting soil mixed with your own soil into it. Moisten thoroughly. Then sow the seeds and cover the furrow with the same mixture. Moisten everything thoroughly with a fine spray and optionally cover with a strip of old cloth. A strip of extra sand is also sometimes used. Keep moist. After 2 weeks, the sand or cloth can be carefully removed.
