The Providor produces an open and vigorous crop. The plant forms long trusses of 8-10 medium-sized tomatoes with a good flavour: aromatic and fairly sweet. This variety is somewhat less tall and has a high resistance to Phytophthora.
This group of tomatoes are sized between cherry tomatoes and beefsteak tomatoes: medium-sized, in other words. Each has its own unique character. The climbing varieties ripen somewhat later than the compact varieties and are therefore more successful under rain protection: a lean-to, greenhouse, or grow tunnel.
